Open Church event content type appears to well represent field trips. Most church events are recurring meetings taking place in organization spaces. A major problem for all church offices is allocating each space to at most one activity during a time period. Nothing in the Open Church event model helps with this problem yet it is one that every church or other organization holding events in organization spaces has.

You can actually just fill out the first line of the location. It doesn't have to be a full address. You can list anything as the location name. You could list online, youth room, anything.

Look at event location together with the resource scheduling issue. There is more to events than signup and showing them on a calendar page.
