Why Drupal was chosen:
I am a control freak, and needed a CMS that allowed me to do exactly what I wanted. I am design blind, so it needed to have nice themes to choose.
Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):
The first version of the site was PHP-Nuke, and it got hacked very fast. I started searching for a better CMS, and I stumbled upon Drupal. We are using drupal since version 5, and we created a lot of custom modules over the time. Like a fertility calendar, gestational calculator and a Baby photo creator.

I need a lot of image manipulation and a gorgeous frontend.
Community contributions:
I had a very specific need, last updated information, this is something that HON Code requires for health sites. First of all I started developping a module, that can be reached in sandbox (https://drupal.org/sandbox/aamato/1529752). This module creates a block with a "Last updated" information. With that I got what I needed and the site was recognized by HON code. It works, fine, but then I created a better solution with Views Watchdog and Views.
The other custom modules I created I could not release public, but it can be tested in our site: Gestational Calculator, Fertility calculator. The baby photo creator was not migrated to drupal 7 yet.
