I'm sorry to have to resort to a support request here....
I have read that advancedforum glues several modules together to create a more normal forum for drupal. Which Modules are these? Do I need to download all the modules seperatly, or are they included in teh advanced forum module?
Thank you for your time...

MichelleI guess the readme is a bit behind... I do list some there:
MODULES MADE USE OF:
user_postcount (included)
markasread (included)
user titles ( http://drupal.org/project/user_titles )
user points ( http://drupal.org/project/user_points )
user badges ( http://drupal.org/project/user_badges )
It also uses privatemsg and contact. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll be updatating the docs soon.
Yes, you need to download them separately.

I'm sorry to take your time, but there's still some things I dont understand about advforum:
1) does it do anything with permissions? or do we have to use forum_access separately?
2) does it enable us to shift forum topics around, shift comments from one topic to another, etc?
I have to say, I'm really glad you're developing this module... Wish I could help but I'm a zero at php.

Michelle1) You use forum access for that.
2) You can move whole threads with core Drupal and comments with comment mover.
Advforum is meant more for the user end of things, not the admin side. It takes the output of various contrib modules and puts them into the forum.

frazras CreditAttribution: frazras commentedIt is said in the readme that
user_postcount (included)
markasread (included)
can be enabled and are listed under the advanced forum section, firstly advanced forum is listed under "other" and we cannot enable the listed modules because contrary to what you said they dont seem to be listed

MichelleIf you look at the top of the readme it notes that much of it is out of date. See http://drupal.org/node/227108 for current documentation.
