Custom date field facet doesnt show current year

Hi

I've enabled facet for custom date field and I get this facet:
2013 (165)
2012 (157)
2011 (86)
2009 (1)
2010 (1)

but current year is missing. values are there. If I change year in url: f[0]=dm_field_wisdomblog_date%3A[2014-01-01T00%3A00%3A00Z TO 2015-01-01T00%3A00%3A00Z]
then facet shows 2014:
(-) Remove 2014 filter 2014

January 2014 (17)
February 2014 (15)

any ideas what can be the issue and where can I start debugging it?
