In the interest of making the search configuration reusable across multiple instances, might it be worth adding Search API Override?

caschbre CreditAttribution: caschbre commentedI think this would be a great addition. I know I've used this on other projects simply to have the dev/test/prod environments pointing to different locations.
Any idea if this works with any search api service (e.g. solr, db, etc.)?

dsnopekWe have our own trick for preventing the search_api_solr settings from being marked as overridden. While search_api_override is a pretty sweet module, and would additionally help with dev/test/prod type workflows, I'm wary of adding any more modules in Panopoly 1.x so I'm going to mark this as Postponed. But please feel free to re-open and/or continue the discussion!
