Use inline entity form as fallback formatter

I am trying to set an entity reference field as an editable field in a view, using Inline Entity Form, to be able to add new related entities. But the 'Inline Entity Form - multiple values' or 'Inline Entity Form - single value' widgets don't appear in Editablefields' 'Fallback Formatter' dropdown list.

Scenario: Post nodes are related to Note nodes through and Entity Reference relationship. I want to make a view of Post nodes, where each Post lists the related Note nodes and gives the user the option to add a new note, that is related to the Post, using an Editablefield.

As far as I can see, this would work fine if Editablefields allowed 'Inline Entity Form' to be a fallback formatter for the field being edited but it doesn't seem to pick it up as an option.
