Edit order status on EDIT page

I report this as a bug and not a feature request because I see no reason to have the ability to edit an order on a View page. I think everyone can agree this is an error: View is not Edit.

It would also be very convenient to have it on the Edit page (this is a feature request :P) for a number of reasons. An example:

If I add other fields to the order, I will have to edit them on the edit page.
For example I was not happy with the Shipping submodule and I needed a simple field with a direct link to the tracking on the user orders table at /user/XX/orders.
When I want to add a tracking number, I also want to change the order status to "Shipped" (custom) or "Completed", but I would have to save, navigate to the View order page, modify the field and save - a big waste of time if I have many orders (if anyone got a better solution suggestions are appreciated).
