I wish to create a strict hierarchy something like this.

Audio - as a space menu link to => main menu

Murphy Radio - as a sub space => menu link to Audio

A104 - as a section menu link to => Murphy Radio
A124 - as a section menu link to => Murphy Radio

The reason I am baffled is that I did all this a couple of weeks ago and it all seemed to work fine producing a nice menu button at the top and a menu in the left pain.

It now does not work (even after deleting all content and whole site and starting again with the most recent OA2 version).

What I seem to get now is that the A104 and A124 link directly to the Audio and appear in the menu under the public box on the right. But nothing appears in the menu in the sub space Murphy Radio.

Its as if they skip up the hierarchy missing one branch.

What may I be doing wrong?

Do you want this in the "Main Menu" across the top of every page, or in the space-specific menu?

For the space-specific menu, you first place your Section page into the and then you put your sub-page as a menu link with the parent of your Section.

However, each space and sub-space has it's own menu. So if you need to reference different sub-spaces, then you would put the links into the Main Menu across the top of the site.

I'm not seeing any problems with the Main Menu here, so maybe you can give the exact steps you are taking for this. Nothing should have changed recently in the menu handling since we are just using the core Drupal menu system.
