Hi all,
Using the latest recommended release of the module, it's failing to let users unsubscribe. I've added both the block and the newsletter subscriptions tab to the user account and clicking on the checkbox and pressing submit simply refreshes the page and the checkbox for a particular list continues to be ticked. I've checked back at the mailchimp list admin and the user is still not unsubscribed. Removing the user manually via mailchimp and then clearing the cache finally shows the user as unsubscribed to a list.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

I unsubscribed two authenticated users from two different lists in their user profile pages, by unchecking the newsletters they were subscribed to. I was then able to add the users back to these lists. I'm not sure what the cause of the issue is at this time. Have you tried running Cron manually and then clearing the cache to see if this makes a difference?

This branch will become unsupported in early October and officially deprecated by the end of this year (2016).
Fret not! The 7.x-4.x and 8.x versions come highly recommended. Both are using Mailchimp’s new API 3.0 and are being actively maintained. If you find this issue still exists on either the 7.x-4.x or 8.x branches, let us know by opening a new ticket. “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger!”
