Incompatible with version 7.22

I am trying to update my drupal core from 7.22 to 7.26. However, when I run update.php, I receive an unresolved dependency error that states Mime Mail requires the system version >= 7.24. I tried disabling and deleting the module, I'm unable to do either. Help?
