Hi!

I am not using full installation of commerce kickstart, but using bits and parts of it for my website.
When creating the products catalog per taxonomy term, I exported the view "collection_products" to my installation and everything is working ok, even though I spent some time trying to comprehend the commerce kickstart taxonomy module.

Anyhow, i see on the view "collection_products" that it's header is getting a global view that it's the block display, and I can't understand exactly what this is for. I see that the view is templated with an image, but other from that why does it need the block on the header? more so, because the results are hidden by css . Am I missing something? Don't want to erase the block view from the header without being sure what's the reason for it being there in the first place.

Thanks for your time.

I'm still a newcomer myself to Commerce, but from playing around with Views, the main reason appears to me just so you can have a heading to each particular product list page. It's so you can put a banner, slideshow, or something else like a results summary at the top of the page. If you don't plan on using it, you should just be able to remove that header from your "Collections" View. The demo store installation has a banner style image there.
