I'm on the latest commerce kickstart, 7.x-2.13 and looking for "Product Displays." But I don't have them at admin/structure/types as the documentation suggests. Instead I have "Storage Devices " described as "A Storage Devices is a content type which contain product variations." The rest of the interfaces, including views types, use "Product Display." Did the name change?

Further, when I investigate the "Show" dropdown which selects for what type of content the view will list, at admin/structure/views/add, it shows Product Display like so <option selected="selected" value="search_api_index_product_display">Product display</option> Why are product display definitions being provided by search_api_index? Maybe I'm just confused here.

Are product displays no longer an out-of-the-box feature of Commerce Kickstart? I see no listing for Storage Devices in Views. Can't find any mention of "Storage Device Commerce Drupal" on the Google. So... what's up? How's it supposed to work and how's it working now?

Storage devices and the other stuff in CK 2.x is product displays. It is a specific instance of a Product Display. So basically you create a content type with a product reference, and the content type is a product display, but you do not need to call the content type for a product display - you can choose your own name.
