Hello, I am unable to change the moderation message for the comments on our site. I did a text search and found the current message in the module's folder, but nothing changed when I edited it. Any hints?

you shouldn't be editing module files directly. Those changes will be overwritten when you update the module. The proper way to handle this is with a string override in settings.php or by using the stringoverrides.module.
