After enabling both (!) the 'Google Analytics' and 'Analytics API' modules, I get this error message:

Sorry, our spam system has flagged your account. Possible reasons for this include:

    You have Javascript turned off.
Your email or IP address has been flagged as spam by third party services.

For assistance, please contact the site administrator.

JS is enabled so the reason must be the flagged as spam :-(

To investigate further I really would like to know where this message comes from ?

Minutes before I created a Google Analytics account for this domain and got a tracking id as usual. Nothing was reported there. If I check now GA does not show any special remarks on spam.

I still can add the tracking id into the modules Analytics page, but (because of the error ?) I cannot see it after and neither is it added to the html output.

So my question: where got the 'google_analytics' module this message from ?

This is not from the ga module.

Sorry to re-open and sorry for the misunderstanding.

I already assumed it is not a message from GA itself. But it appears only if I enable both (!) the 'Google Analytics' and 'Analytics API' modules. So somehow the enabling triggers this error message.

Furthermore, if I continue and open the modules settings page to add a tracking id, then the new entry is not shown in the list. I first thought I made a mistake or something, but if I try adding again, I get a message that the entry already exists. But still without showing it.

So there is some interaction / relation between GA and the 'spam system' message. But what ?

I think that is badbot module.
May be somebody can solve the problem.

Thank you ramirusan for the great insight !

I indeed also have the badbot module installed. And if I disable it, I can see the tracking id that I entered a few days ago.

So to check or change anything, I first have to disable badbot.

It seems that the enable/disable of badbot does not matter for inclusion of the js in the pages. So it is no problem to have badbot enabled once the tracking id is ('invisibly') added.
