Modifying pre-existing node does not create og row

Install Organic Groups, and assign a previous node type (with existing nodes) as the Group home page node. Visit one of the pre-existing nodes, fill in the require OG fields (Description, etc.), and save it. The OG fields are not saved - the {og} table row is not created. The attached patch will address this.
