The installer should work. Once the module is installed, a pear directory should appear in your site's file directory.

Added a lot of stuff to pear_install(). I haven't tested it yet, but it should (...right) work. This does atleast outline the basic approach that should be taken.

Added an _ (underscore) in front of the package name so that it appears at the top of the modules page.

The module name, as it appears in the module list, has been chaned to Pear so that it conforms to naming conventions.

Implemented function pear_install_download(string $url) and function pear_install_log($message, $error = FALSE). Also made sure the encoding was UTF-8.
