Bulk Author Update

Sometimes there is need to update the author for numerous content types. It is very messy to go in each content and update the author details individually.
Now this module comes up with the solution to update the authors at one shot, bulk or individually.
Just install and leave author update work to this module. It has interactive UI to make the flow easy.

Make sure php_mcrypt extension is enabled (for D7 version).

D8
This module has been recently ported to D8 (with D9 compatibility). We tried to maintain all the features but there can be changes.

Requirements

This module requires no modules outside of Drupal core.

Installation

Install as you would normally install a contributed Drupal module. Visit https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/extending-drupal-8/installing-drupal-8-mod... for further information.

Configuration

The configuration pages can be found in /admin/content/bulkauthorupdate/config (where you set the user to update) and admin/content/bulkauthorupdate/view (where you select the nodes to update).

After choosing the user to update simply choose the nodes to update using the view that can be found as a tab in the same page.

The access to the configuration pages is controlled by permissions so head to the permissions page to configure which roles should have the permission.
