When creating a book page, there are WAY too many choices to go through to have to choose a parent. There should be some way of creating a new parent for users who want to create their own book AND have those categories only viewable to that user during the creation. Or in some way, have the ability to subcategorize the books they want to add to or create. I'm a newbie, so there may already be this feature, but as a newbie, it was VERY overwhelming to see so many parent pages to link to when creating a book page.

Title: Way too many books » Streamline adding book page experience
Status: Active » Postponed (maintainer needs more info)

Trying to make the title more descriptive.
Also I would like you to elaborate the proposal, therefore the status change.
I agree that the adding book page is not very user-friendly, but I don't see a clear "to-do-list" in your comment.
Interested in your thoughts.
