hi

i did a stupid thing - upgrading to cvs without backing up mysql database :(

this was on a live site :( :(

after doing update.php, drupal can no longer find /node/ ... therefore there is no content. i've checked out the drupal database, and everything seems to still be there, however, it is not being accessed. i went back to 4.6.2, but problem still there.

when i ran the upgrade script, it defaulted to "all", so i chose that ... maybe i shouldn't have?

can someone please help me get my site back up? i can give admin access to anyone kind enough to help!

When you say that it can no longer find /node/, what do you mean? It sounds like your .htaccess file may have been overwritten, obliterating your RewriteBase.

Running update.php with 'all' selected doesn't sound right at all, unless your previous version was very, very old.

Usual caveats about running cvs on a site that can't go down in flames apply.

If it's not the RewriteBase, post some more details about what exactly happens and I will try to help.

my front page was set to display "node" - and after upgrading to cvs, it would say "page not found" ... couldn't browse to any pages.

i think you may have been right about the .htaccess file ... after replacing the cvs version with my backup, it worked - but not right away. maybe this was because of caching (even though it was turned off), but everything went back to normal when i entered the modules administration page!?

anyways - thanx heaps for the advice!
