I had to make slightly modifications to your current styles so niftycube can work properly.
I am also using the Theme Settings API module to let you configure my modifications:
- Whether to use niftyCube or not
- Configurable font size using two different style-size-xxxx.css files
In this patch there are all my modifications plus the additions of all the new files.
I have contacted you using the contact form on your webpage to introduce myself as well as let you know some possible future modifications but would be great to know if you are willing to accept this changes into your codebase so I can keep on doing modifications in a proper way so it's going to be easy for you to include them.

Tendu as a basic theme is not going to have any advanced module based features out of the box.
BUT - I'm working on integrating some prebuilt subthemes into Tendu, and maybe one of them will have at least one of these features.
Besides that, Tendu is meant to be for theme developers to base their themes on, so people are more then invited to develop their own themes based on Tendu and and add whatever features they think are necessary.
