So you've downloaded the Daylife module, now what do you do?
- Configure Daylife (admin/settings/daylife)
You should start by configuring the module on the admin/settings/daylife page. You will need a Daylife Access Key and Secret available from http://cookbook.daylife.com/user/register. You should receive your access key and secret in the confirmation email.
If you wish to query for image content you must obtain a source_filter_id, you can obtain a source_filter_id by emailing developer@daylife.com and requesting one. - Configure Permissions(admin/user/access)
You can allow multiple roles different access to the Daylife module. The permissions that can be set are as follows.
* administer daylife - access all daylife page.
* administer daylife content - import, update, and delete daylife content.
* administer daylife feeds - edit all daylife feeds, including user feeds.
* create daylife feeds - create daylife feeds.
* import daylife content - import daylife feed items as nodes.
* view all daylife feeds - view all daylife feed items. - Create Daylife Feeds (admin/content/daylife or user//daylife)
Now that the API interface and permissions are configured it's time to start exploring the Daylife Feed interface and how it allows you to query the Daylife API. You can create two types of feeds, topic or search. Topic Feeds are limited to querying a distilled set of topics. Search feeds allow for a more expressive Lucene like search syntax. You can also enable topic spidering to retrieve content related to your feed's items by topic. Be cautious with the spidering option. It can cause cron.php to timeout when requested through a browser. - Import content
You can setup feeds to automatically import content. This can quickly provide your site with a large collection of topical content. You can also browse your feeds selectively for content to import.
