I have an issue, is there anyone who can solve my problem? I am using Drupal 6.2 version, the problem is very simple but since I am new in Drupal and PHP also, so I am not able to find out that how to solve this.

well, I want a simple modification on the user registration page. in current drupal's reg page user have to fill two field i.e. user id and e-mail address. but I wants user will fill only one field ie his/her email address and this email address will be user id also.

if anyone can help me to acheive this, then please tell me the process and the steps.
