Hi!
I have two problems with the layout of my homepage:
Problem No 1:
I ported the skin "gnoo" from NucleusCMS to Drupal. When viewing with Firefox, everything's fine, but with Internet Explorer the content is "broken".
Problems:
- links on top
- blocks on the right side are on the very bottom
Keep back in mind that it were only minor changes as the "gnoo"-skin is itself derived from the "leaf"-skin.
Anyway, here you can see the result with the two browsers (if you cant be arsed to start both programs):
Firefox:

Internet Explorer:

Problem No 2:
How can I change the behaviour of "view original" in the image gallery so that the original image opens in a new window? Currently, it hardly "colides" with my layout/the light blocks as you can see here (when clicking "view original"):

Sry if I posted a question which was already asked here.
I want to thank you in advance for your time.

Can't say for sure without
Can't say for sure without looking at the css, but if those elements are "floats", it looks like the old IE problem about padding & margins adding to the width. try giving the navigation elements a little more width, or reduce padding and/or margin-settings, that usually helps.
Thanks man, I'll have a look
Thanks man, I'll have a look at it. When you talk about the "old" IE problem, there have to be some detailed resources about that somewhere, right? Perhaps you can point me to a thread which discusses this topic?
Anyway, I will take a look at this when I'm at home and if I cant work it out I'm gonna post the code in here and ask more detailed questions.
How did it work?
Have the same problem with my beloved IE and I`m also new to this so if anyone ave found a solution please tell me, my site looks like crapp and it blocks the login for the IE pc users out there.
Thanks.

I don't have the answer for
I don't have the answer for you, but I would suggest hitting the css sites and forums as it is not necessarily a Drupal specific problem, but a CSS issue and you may find a larger knowledge base of folks regarding css issue's.

Its impossible to tell from
Its impossible to tell from the image alone, it could be any number of mistakes that would lead to such a result. Post a link to the stylesheet and source code and I might be able to help.

Use leaves
I just downloaded the leavs theme and modified the style.css file to look the way I want. This theme works better with IE and the links at the top are looking right also in exp**rer.
