Hi

I have a imagefield in a content type and now I installed the imagecache, imagefield gallery and active the image gallery lightbox, my problem is that don't show me the image only the name of the image I dont know if this is because of imagefield gallery module of is caused by the imagecache module because this module doesnt create the directory for the presets, anyone could help me please!

This is almost certainly an imagecache issue, and more specifically a GD2 library issue. Switch to the imagemagick library flush your presets and try again.

Had the same problem, needed 1,5 hours just to find out, that the default values of "display fields" in the content type settings had been on "hidden" by default, plus I had not Lightbox installed, so could not select it from there.
Should have gone to sleep much earlier..

Ahh, yes this can be caused if you hide the display settings. Sorry I didn't mention that possibility.
