This project is the home of the source files for the quick-start guide pages that appear in the documentation section (/docs) of Drupal.org. It is not a module.

The primary reasoning behind the decision to manage a few select pages in this manner is to ensure that the content of these pages is held to an established standard and editorial process.

The two pages that were originally maintained via this repository were converted to standard Drupal.org nodes in April 2023. You can edit the pages directly now.

The process for publishing them via the repo was cumbersome and slowed down updates. And the pages were never translated. Drupal.org supports notifying guide maintainers of changes to sub-pages, so for now we'll try that as a means to impose editorial control on these pages and see how it goes.

This project is part of the ongoing Documentation and Help Initiative. You can read more about the reasoning behind the decision to manage these high-visibility documentation pages in this manner in Proposal: Create and promote new "Quick-start guide" pages.

The two currently published pages from this project are:

There are open issues to add additional one-page guides in the issue queue.
