I (on behalf of the programming committee) would like to get approval for $500 as an honorarium for a keynote speaker. It would be nice to have a decision about this made in the near future so that we'll know, yes or no, when doing outreach to potential speakers.
- Is there đź’° in the budget for this?
- Are there any objections?

eojthebrave@stpaultim, yes. My intent was to use this whether they are local or from out of town. They could choose to spend it on travel or not depending on their needs.

I would also like to review and reconsider what we offer in the way of "scholarships", which has been very loosely defined in the past, and not used consistently, but that should be another ticket.

jerdavisI believe there was no one opposed to this and it's now accounted for in our budget. Marking RTBC. Let's mark fixed if there's no further discussion and focus on finding someone to give the $500 to :)
