Let's see if I can properly describe what I want to do...
I create my "image" content type. This consists of an image, a title, and some text describing the image. I create a view that shows the image thumbnail and the title. When you click on the thumbnail the larger image opens in the thickbox. When you click on the title it displays the full node.
I have the above working.
I now would like to remove the title from the view (I can do this). Now for the user to get to that full node display (that includes the description) I want them to click a link IN THE LIGHT BOX. For example, there is next, prev, and close buttons. I would like another button that says "Details" and will take the user to the full node of the image they are viewing.
I would greatly appreciate any solutions to this. Solutions that involve editing javascript or PHP would be acceptable, I just can't get anything I try to work.
If you need more clarification I will gladly provide it.

I need the lightbox to display a link to the node that the image was originally added to, in addition to the prev, next, and close buttons.

ngreenup CreditAttribution: ngreenup commentedOk I have gotten this working by hacking away at the module files. With a ton of help from a co-worker......
It would be great if this feature could be added. It seems so easy to add for the developer. I can think of many reasons this would be used.
