Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Problem/Motivation
The project page has a gif that references 8.0.2. For those of us who have been upgrading to the latest version, that seems pretty old. It's 3.5 years old.
Proposed resolution
Create a gif (or static image) without the version number, so it's "timeless". A retina friendly hi-res image would be nice.
Remaining tasks
- Create new image.
- Add it to project page.

oknateI don't know if a gif is necessary. Perhaps a static image is less visually distracting. Then a link to a video file demonstrating it could give more detail.

adriancid@oknate thanks for this, I don't know why a gif was selected for the project page, let's wait for the other maintainers to see why the choose a gif.
oknateSure, no reason to rush it. Maybe someone else can come up with an even better image. I'm not that artistically gifted.

romainj CreditAttribution: romainj as a volunteer commentedI don't know why we choose a gif as the module image :)
I think that we should use something like the attached image (with the Admin Toolbar Tools module enabled).
adriancid@romainj agree with you.
oknateI'm fine with that. I think most users enable admin_toolbar_tools.
oknateOn my iphone and my retina screen, the image in #8 is a little fuzzy. I think we should use a higher res image.
adriancid@oknate I changed the image in the project pager, can you check it?
oknateIt looks good on my iphone. The text is just a tiny bit fuzzy on my macbook, but I think it's fine.
Here's a higher res image, but this one is 188 KB, which is more than twice the size of the 71 KB new image you just added. The text won't be fuzzy with the higher res image, but it will take slightly longer to load.
oknateHere's the current image zoomed in, it's slightly fuzzy on a macbook pro with retina screen.
Here's the image added in #13, which is twice the size, but not fuzzy.
I like the current image though, and it's smaller.
oknateI like the blue of the current image too, vs the grey of seven theme.
oknateHmm. The new image does look a bit fuzzy though on my retina macbook.

romainj CreditAttribution: romainj as a volunteer commentedIt's good to me. Should we close this issue?
oknateI’m ok to close issue. Thanks!
