Ability to style link to CRSS feed

Most of my users are going to becoming to my drupal site from my previous livejournal blog, and they are just not going to get that the tiny icon at the bottom of the comments is a link to the rss feed of the comments.

I would like to request the ability to place the link to the feed (options: at the top of the comments, at the bottom of the comments, or both) and the ability to replace the default icon with a custom icon of my own or with a text string (one that I can change, since I'm a multi-lingual site.)

If anyone has advice for how to hack that right this minute, based on 6.x-1.2, I'd love to take your advice. I'm using Garland as my template.
