Drupal in Windows....is this the right thing to do?

I a linux guy trying to run drupal on Windows 2k Server. Not a choice I have control over. I'm having some serious performance issues and need some help. Are there benchmarks for drupal on various platforms? If so where would I find that information.

Anyone know if drupal can run on windows with decent performance?

Anything will help.

For some of our customers we have to run Drupal on a Windows Server too. We've no performance or other problems.
Of cource first choice is a LAMP system.

sites off of one Windows 2003 IIS6 box. I think 13 sites total without any issue. It's a PIII 1GHz with 1 GHz of RAM. I have not run any performance stats on it as none of my friends are paying me and I don't have time.

As to tools, you would want to look at the IIS Resource kits and TechNet areas regarding IIS. One tool is LoadSim if you want to do some serious testing.
