Hi Druids!

Big pardon for my poor english...

Drupal Ikarus is converted themes from Ikarus Wordpress Theme to Drupal Theme. It come with over 10 colors that you can mix and match, nice featured content images changing on header, left or right layout and more...
Here the live drupal site use this themes:
http://ikarus.situsgue.co.cc
http://ikarus.situsgue.co.cc/other <--- other layout & colors

Here the Ikarus WP themes demo site:

I think it’s not yet converted perfectly..there's still problems when displaying in IE...btw, nobody perfect, isn't?

And so..could or should i share this themes to drupal community?
i hope can do that as soon as possible...

Sincerely...

That is really a nice theme but doesn't appear to be GPL. If you want to share it on drupal.org, you'll need to contact the author and get permission to release it as GPL. As GPL, he won't be able to enforce the requirement to pay to remove the links in the footer but he will get a lot of exposure and can always ask outright for a donation. So he may be willing if you ask nicely. :)

Great work on the conversion.

hi michelle...

you're right..this themes doesn't appear to be GPL...
and about links in the footer, this note comes from ikarus WP creators:

This is not a sponsored theme. The links in the footer all belong to me and if you’d like it removed please help and support my next development by donating $30 to my paypal at webdesign@5shades.com. Thanks!

so, if we want to remove it all, we should donate him...but if we keep original link in the footer, maybe we don't have to do that :D ...i saw many WP users in their site that use the ikarus wp themes still keep original links in footer to the creator...i don't know that they donate to him or not :)
As your suggestion, i will ask the creators to get permission..so we can release this themes to drupal users :)

I don't know what you wrote in your original email but it sounds like you need to clarify.

1) You can keep the links in the footer to begin with.
2) You can _ask_ that people donate if they remove them.
3) You can't _force_ people to donate to remove them. GPL software can't have a condition like that. If he agrees to the GPL license, he has no legal right to force people to keep the links if they haven't paid.

If he's ok with that, and clear that the theme will be released as GPL, then you can submit the theme to the Drupal repository.

Hi everyone,

Please forgive if this is a dumb question - but after reading this thread, searching the drupal.org site, and searching the "Ikarus"(http://ikarus.situsgue.co.cc/) site, I can't seem to locate where to download this theme - any ideas? many thanks -
