This is not precisely a Drupal question, but if anyone has the answer it would be much appreciated.

I want to apply a patch provided for 'emailpage.module'. The patch is 'emailpage-note_patch'. I know there is a patch command in Unix that makes this process automatic. The problem is I can find no similar patch command in Windows cmd.exe.

Does anybody know how or where I can get a patch routine that will automatically apply a patch in Windows 2000?

The answer is probably obvous to some one, but that someone is not me. Much obliged for any advice you have

Apologies if you've already seen it. There is some Windows info there in the comments and the subpages - I have no idea how complete it is though as I don't use Windows myself.

When I'm in a windows environemt I use the GNU utilities for win32 (http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/)

It works fine. It also has some other usefull tools like grep and tar.

Have you actually got the patch.exe to work? I have tried for months and it never responds. just dies without error in windows prompt.

Sorry, used wrong syntax for this.. too much java influence from yesterday. Works nicely on the laptop.

If I remember correctly the patch .exe was not part of this package in march of 2005. Niether was diff.exe. It is nice to see them now. especially since I cannot use cygwin.

http://drupal.org/node/32875 -- it hasn't been approved yet, so I don't know if it is visible to all, or just to me (because I wrote it).

It is an updated version of this post:
