"Unlimited" dates only show on first day

When selecting 'unlimited' under the multiple category for a date field only the first day shows, when multiple dates are entered, on the calendar view. I've configured the calender to use the date field, and repeating dates work correctly when 'repeating' is selected. I've tried this on a D6 site and it seems to work great there. However, the D5 site does not.
