Thanks again for your useful module. Since Gmap is available for D6 I was able to compare the two and must say that Mapping Kit is much more versatile. Also it seems that rendering is faster in Mapping Kit. At the same time data input for the module is somewhat more complex.
The following features would, IMHO, add value to the Mapping Kit:

1. simplified data input process by default map centering around the GPS track coordinates
2. at certain predefined zoom level show markers with data derived from the GPS track - speed, time, distance, lat/lon coordinates
3. ability to add and configure mapping features straight to, say, blog entry, story and page

Cheers

Thanks, I'll give your suggestions some thought. 'Problem' with using the gps track coordinates is that at the moment they are not processed at the server, but only by OpenLayers in the client.
Can you please explain point 3 a bit further and give an example?

right, No3
the example is borrowed from "trackfield" submodule of GMap whereby the drupal's built-in content types are edited to add new input fields to, say, blog. In this particular example all a user has to do is upload a data file (or insert raw lat/lon data), reference the file's name in the "Track" field, write his story and press "save" - all on the same page. Map is published with settings configured globally by the administrator.

Looking forward :)
