One of my users has noticed that any events she schedules for 04/01/2009 do not appear on any of the views for the calendar module. I did some troubleshooting and found that when I simply update the event to re-schedule it on any other date it displays properly in all the calendar views. Please let me know if there is a fix or workaround for this issue.

I can't replicate the problem. First get current on the latest -dev code for both Date and Calendar and see if you still have a problem. If so, are you using PHP4? This smells like one of those daylight savings time issues that PHP4 doesn't handle well.

I upgraded to the latest dev snapshot for both Date and Calendar and I'm having the same results. Any events scheduled for April 1st do not appear in the view. Your response inspired me to also check the setting of the date field I was using. I experimented by reducing the granularity to just year, month, day and "no time zone conversion." Now it appears to be working properly.

Thanks for leading me to a working solution.

Our site experience the same issue. All events scheduled after the 1st of april doesn't show up in the daily view. If I change the setting of the time zone conversion from "site's timezone" to "no time zone conversion" the event shows up in the daily view again but it is scheduled 2 hours earlier now.

E.g. the event was originally planned for the 9th of april for the whole day (start-time and end-time 0:00):

Using the "site's timezone" it does show up correctly in the weekly view but it doesn't show up in the daily view.

Using the "no time zone conversion"-setting it shows up on the 8th of april 22 o'clock.

The site is running php5.

Since I can't replicate the problem I need more information, plus it isn't clear where it is 'wrong' -- in the node itself? only in the calendar view? Please export the field definition using Content Copy so I can see how things are set up.

And what version of PHP5? If it's earlier than PHP5.2, you're using the PHP4 wrapper code, so that's a critical item for me to know.

I sent you an email containing the field definition. I hope it helps to sort this out.

Karen,

do you still need more information to fix this issue? Please give us a short feedback.

Please don't expect me to provide support via email. I don't want to keep track of all that mail and try to figure out which issue it belongs to and remember to come back here and report back, etc. I get hundreds of emails every day. I can't keep track of all that. Post your response here, where it can stay matched up to the rest of the information about this problem.

Hello.

I'd like to add that I am seeing something *very* similar to this. I have just added the Date/Calendar combo to my school's PTA website, and I'd like to say that I am very impressed with the features, as it does everything *I* need it to. Well, except for one thing... April 1st appears to be broken somehow.

What I am seeing on both my test site and the real site are symptoms as follows:
1. Single Calendar entries created for April 1st of any year do not show up in Monthly, Weekly or Daily Views (I currently have it set to work for +10 years)
2. Repeating events for April 1st also do not work as above.
3. Events that span a time including April 1st *do* show up as expected.
4. If an event for April 1st exists, the date does show up underlined in the Year View, but clicking on the day results in an empty Day View, unless there's something else in there that spans the day.

If you want to see this on my live site, please feel free to browse on over to http://www.fothcy.org/calendar/2010-04. As you can see, I have an event that includes April 1st, and that shows up OK. However the item just for April 1st does not show up... http://www.fothcy.org/content/greek-cypriot-national-day.

Software versions are as follows:
Test VM:
OS - OpenSUSE 11.1
Apache - 2.2.10
PHP - 5.2.9
MySQL - 5.0.67
Drupal - 6.13
Calendar - 6.x-2.2
Date - 6.x-2.4
Views - 6.x-2.8
CCK - 6.x-2.6

Live Site:
OS - OpenSUSE 11.1
Apache - 2.2.10
PHP - 5.2.11
MySQL - 5.0.67
Drupal - 6.15
Calendar - 6.x-2.2
Date - 6.x-2.4
Views - 6.x-2.8
CCK - 6.x-2.6

I must admit that I am not comfortable with the idea of putting -dev versions on a live site.

If you need any more info, just let me know. Thanks.

I haven't researched this at all but my client just reported the same thing for April 1 2010 events on his site. The site is up to date as to 1 month ago so whatever the problem I guess it still exists....

I had the same issue..so I un-installed the date-api module..re-installed it again..and then under date-time settings..do not select any time-zone..and have the first day of week as Sunday.

I dont know if this is the correct solution..,but it worked.

Thanks
Omi
