is possible to create a 2nd content-type with node-family or reference

With bio I know that is possible to create only a content-type for to have a profile for user.
But is possible with some tips also to add a 2nd content-type?
For example for to create for an user a tab Profile with text data and a tab Image tht nust to have one other content-type.
I know that is possible with nodeprofile, but would like know if there is also a solution with bio.

I think at use of node family or also a node reference. Is possible?
