sunAlthough some editors ship with built-in file/image browsers, they require manual customizations to make them compatible to Drupal. At this point in time, Wysiwyg API does not (officially) support customizations and discourages any manual configuration approaches that involve to edit configuration files in the filesystem.
You might want to have a look at #287025: IMCE_Wysiwyg API bridge module , which provides a file/image/flash browser for TinyMCE as well as FCKeditor (currently).
