Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
It looks several changes went in since beta. Why not release new beta/RC or final release? Are there any critical defects still open ?

jaydub CreditAttribution: jaydub commentedThis module was abandoned by the original developer awhile back. The current maintainer took over ownership and has done a ton of work to bring the module to its current state without a whole lot of help. This is a complex module with lots of submodules and a rather large issue queue. I think that whatever time he needs do continue to work on the module in his spare time should be respected. As for Drupal 7, if you think that is coming out anytime soon, you are kidding yourself. There is an awful lot of work still ahead for D7.
If you can contribute code then please checkout of CVS and see if you can help with reviewing patches or creating patches.

ajayg CreditAttribution: ajayg commentedCould the current maintainer suggest a prioritized list of open issue he see critical to 6.x release? Then we can all focus on getting that fixed and patches tested. The sooner we can get 6.x released there will be more interested folks to deploy in production in turn getting more support from the ecosystem. Till we release it will be chicken and egg problem.

If you can tackle any of these it would help _greatly_.
Thanks.

SeanBannister CreditAttribution: SeanBannister commentedNot really my place to decide but I'd really like to see a beta 10 as it's been 4 months since the last release and a number of worthwhile commits have been made. But I'll be using the dev release until then.
Also good to see the issue queue isn't to full.

alex.k CreditAttribution: alex.k commentedYup, it should be possible to roll up the beta10 release once #390380: user_relationships table failed when installing is resolved.

ajayg CreditAttribution: ajayg commentedCan we expect a new beta or release for 6.x version now the last pending issue is resolved?
