In the installation instructions it says "do not download/extract editor libraries upfront". I Already have FCKEditor installed and before I go ahead and install this module I need to know if I should disable and uninstall FCKEditor to avoid problems.

sunThe installation instructions refer to editor libraries. FCKeditor is an editor library in reality. However, I think you are referring to the Drupal FCKeditor module. You should disable that module when installing Wysiwyg API to avoid JavaScript conflicts.

sunNo, the Drupal FCKeditor module is superfluous with Wysiwyg API. You should disable the module, but can defer uninstalling it for later.
