Hey thanks for catching this, I've added a bunch of regions now people can use. I didn't use any regions (only left sidebar) on the site I built this theme for, so I never noticed. It will take up to 12 hours for the new dev release to bvecome available, enjoy! BTW I never tested, so please post back to make sure I can close this.

This still exists in beta1 and the dev version

fix needs this

on line 95 on page.tpl.php

and here is a patch for review

This has been committed now to dev, thanks so much GiorgiosK (I'll give you credit on the beta2 release notes), this is the first patch I've ever received for one of my themes. w00t w00t!
