Hi,

I use Flash Node and Swf Object 2 to embed a single interactive swf file. Everything works fine. But swf starts to play only if the browser is active. For example you type in the URL of the page with swf, pressed ENTER, then you opened another page or application. But it starts only if you come back to the page. I need the swf to start to play while in the background.

Also if the swf is down the page, it starts to play only when you scroll down to see the swf.

I think it is intentionally done this way. But it doesn't suit my needs. Is there a way to change this setting. I choose "play immediately" checkbox from the SWFtools settings page but it doesnt seem to work.

Any help will be appreciated...

Addition and edit to the previous post:

This happens on Firefox and Chrome but not in IE7. Any ideas??

Also a swf starts to play if opened in a new browser window if it is in the visible area, but not if it is in a new "tab", it doesnt start till the tab is active.

I've never come across this behavior! Has anyone else experienced this and is able to shed some light?!
