Hello everyone.

I recently installed the adsense module into Drupal and it is working, however I noticed that when a user hits reply to a comment and the new comment entry form shows up, the ads are based on the title of my website and not the content. Every other time (when browsing comments, etc., not posting) the ads are based on the content.

I know this because my content is all about investing, but the website title/name is not! My site is: example.com and when posting (new topic or replying), users see AdSense ads for typos.

Any help is appreciated.

And just to add a bit of information, I went to my Google AdSense account and it lists all the blocked URLs from my site, when google crawled it to display adds, and they are all a reply URL such as displays when you are replying.
For example:

URL__________________________________________Reason Blocked_____Date
http:/ / example. com/ comment/ reply/ 39/ 100 Robots.txt File Jun 8, 2009

The reason for this is that you're displaying ads in URLs which are not indexed normally by the Google AdSense spider.. Since it doesn't know about those URLs, when it is asked to display an ad it will do so based on whatever criteria it finds suitable..

There's nothing that can be done by this module except maybe recommending that you disable ads in those paths that you've identified..

Ohhh.. I get it! So Google usually won't display adds in a 'reply to' page but I have it set up to display adds so it IS, just has no content to go off of. So it is seeing the name of my site as example.com and assuming the best content is typos! Kind of funny in a way.

Thanks.

I went to AdSense admin and under 'show on every page except the listed pages' I put:

comment/reply/*

I couldn't get it to work. I tried several different variations of the above path.

When I click 'reply' to any comment, the path shows up as something like this:

http://example.com/comment/reply/41/204

Don't know if this is the 'correct' format but it did work! www.example.com is not about typos

Thanks for the help! I put this as closed on accident because it appeared to work, but it's not working yet!

I just tried the above pattern (comment/reply/*) and it works..

With the current information, I don't see anything in need of being fixed.

I want to add something:

It is not allowed by adsense to put adsense ads on non-content pages such as node posting form, comment posting form and any other forms such as contact forms. Adsense allows only those pages which have real content.

So, it is better to exclude non-content pages for adsense blocks otherwise, you may be penalized by google if your website does not have much traffic.

But if your website traffic is good so that ad impressions on non-content pages are neglegible as compared to ad impressions on content-ful pages (and also there are no clicks from these pages), then it is ok.

This has happened once with my forum but I was able to save my account!

I found my mistake... I had FCKeditor enabled, so when I typed "comment/reply/*" it was adding html code. I hit the 'source' button and fixed it, and the ads no longer show up on the reply to comment pages!

Thanks
