HI,

I'm converting my old-school HTML-nothing-fancy recurring billing membership based website to Drupal, which I chose over Joomla because the comparisons I found all said that Drupal did a better job managing membership sites.

When I was looking hard at using Joomla, it looked like the only way for my billing/password management system to work would have been to have 2 completely separate installations of Joomla, one on the non-members side and another on the members side. That way my gateway company (Netbilling) could continue undisturbed, but it made converting to Joomla more of a pain.

So now we've elected to go with Drupal and the same question is coming up.

All Netbilling does is communicate from its own server with a little tiny script on my server that writes to the htacccess file. That's it. It seems like this shouldn't be a big deal to integrate...any suggestions ideas or knowledge is welcome.

thanks!

(No, I'm not leaving Netbilling. Whatever I do has to work with that.)

Seeing the script might produce more useful answers.

I do know that having a writable htaccess file opens a security hole.
