Its been some time since i needed to play with the theme, this time on a new site.
What I had hoped to do was have a fluid width with a maximum of 1200px, but it looks like you can have a Fluid width, of which a perentage is the page, or you can have a fixed width, not a combination of both, (Nice feature for the future)
The problem i have found is that Fixed width maxes out at 1199, Go to 1200 and it reverts to 85%

Jeff Burnz CreditAttribution: Jeff Burnz commentedthis is easily modified by setting the width directly in page tpl or overriding using your own CSS, or changing the values in the theme settings PHP code.

Theme-specific settings
Page width:
"Specify the page width in percent ratio (50-100%) for liquid layout, or in px (800-1600px) for fixed width layout. If an invalid value is specified, the default value (85%) is used instead. You can leave this field blank to use the default value. You need to add either % or px after the number."
If I enter >1199px on save the default value of 85% is used
