On a Dutch language Drupal intranet site, one member has an apostrophe in his surname, like this - In 't Veld -
Drupal, however, doesn't allow that sort of punctuation in a username. I assumed access rules (admin - users - access rules) would help defining the apostrophe as an allowed character. The check says it allows the username, but as soon as I test it by creating a new user, Drupal says I've used illegal characters. The rule I've added says: allow, in the field for username _'. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I need to do in the database to allow special characters? Is there any other function in Drupal that I need to activate? Is or should it be possible at all?
Thanks for any hints or help
