Since SWFTools has several different configuration screens, it would be nice to setup each sub-menu item as a local task. I am submitting a patch which accomplishes this.

Oops, I messed up the patch. Here's the correct patch.

Thanks for the patch (although I can't get it to patch my local copy!)

I've been round this thought process a few times, but for now I've stuck with the original interface.

On balance I think there are now so many settings that tabs makes more sense. That said, I'd prefer not to mess too much with the UI right now as I'm starting to think something of a more major overhaul is needed to make the module more user friendly.

For example, collecting all the settings for players and embedding in one place, where you can see everything without having to switch sections and open tabs.

So, I'll hang on to the patch while I give some thought about where to take things, and will probably make it happen with SWF Tools 7.

Of course, there's nothing so stop others applying this patch if they would prefer tabs in the short term!!
