Just tried it, 4.7 download with 4.7 rc1 and I get fatel forms error. Has the package been updated for 4.7?

No.
There was significant rewrites required to get from 4.6 to 4.7
That's why the CVS bundle was tagged 4.6, not 4.7

And why there's an issue here tracking the possible conversion.
I've now got the 4.7 STRUCTURE working in the new build, but most of the functionality needs to be revisited and reviewed.

It's hard, and seriously, don't try using it for a real site yet.

I'm eagerly awaiting the 4.7 upgrades, I tried fixing a few issues, but the changes needed are beyond my capability since I'm new to Drupal. I hope you get this working on 4.7 ASAP :-)

Are there any plans to modify it to work on 4.7 anytime soon?

the CVS is 4.7 currently COMPATABLE, but not well tuned or tested.
I'm travelling for a month right now, see the other status thread for details
