Okay... so, I've been posting all over the place. I was thinking about hiring some programmers to make all this possible.

Basically, bulk upload feature is a request, but I think it's already there. Comma separated value .txt files or .xml files should allow users to fill all fields and custom fields for images uploaded in bulk (i.e. via .zip). A column in one of the xml or csv files should be for image location on te server and another should be for the destination album, please.

Being able to store images in a non-web-accessible folder and being able to protect all image editions and proofs (i.e. full size images with original brush strokes edition or 75% quality thumbnail proof) from being downloaded or screenshotted should naturally be part of the module.

Vocabulary is very important. Images > Site > Gallery/ies > Album(s) > Item(s). The images need to be below the level of the site and the public_html or www directory. Image proofs can be made visible by users with proper permission at any level, but the original image, itself, is locked up.

The galleries, albums, and items should all be searchable via live, refineable search and via advanced search. A refined search should allow people to select and de-select features associated with albums and items, so that they can watch them disappear and reappear in real time. So, let's say someone is browsing an image gallery dedicated to jewelry. They only want to see pictures of white gold. So, they deselect platinum, silver, and yellow gold. Now, only the albums containing platinum items are visible. They click on an item, and the desired result would be that the preference to only display platinum would follow. Even if they are in a gallery that contains yellow gold items (like an album dedicated to semi-precious stones), they will not see the yellow gold because those items are deselected/refined away. Advanced search should allows users to fill in data for all fields and custom fields. So, they can write in stone types, info on descriptions, etc., to be more specific. A feature taht also died in every search engine I know of that would be nice to re-include would be a truncation feature. If you search for gold% it will search for all words that begin with gold--golden, goldie, goldy, goldfish, etc. I always thought that was tight in google when it used to work.

As for security, the nodeaccess module is awesome. It would be nice if that were able to link up, somehow. It's all Drupal, though, right? ^^

I hope that one or two of these ideas were fresh. Haven't used the module, yet. Just read a lot about it. I'll stay in touch!
