weird one, I have the same problem. Some bug must have been introduced somehow. I will figure this out shortly.

I had this bug as well. I tested to copy the form array for message_id_param and message_id_wrapper plus the code for the case message_id_param is empty from heartbeat_rules_users_action_form() to heartbeat_rules_default_action_form() and that actually worked, but probably that is not the real solution to the problem :P

Sorry guys, the release is planned a little later, but i am almost there. a lot of changes will be done.
The heartbeat project overview page will explain things and there will be a demosite as well with advanced stuff.
