From time to time I get an e-mail from someone looking for (paid) help related with this module. I work full time for Development Seed so unfortunately I don't have the time to attend such requests, and also I don't know who from the people involved in this module development is interested in providing professional services and who isn't. So the idea is simple:

  • People providing professional services and having good knowledge of these modules can subscribe to this issue.
  • People looking for professional help can send a message to any of the subscriptors directly or post their request here so others can contact them.

*** This is just an intent to help potential customers and developers contacting each other. Nor the module maintainer (that's me) nor the company sponsoring this module (Development Seed) are involved in any way with transactions happening in this thread.***

Since Jose set this thread up; i'll repost here.

Looking for a views arg handler that lets me list "the nodes a user is interested in". I'll likely get to it myself eventually; but swamped. So if anyone wants to take a crack at it - email me at peter@liquidcms.ca.

=============

I originally posted this as needing this for a client's site; but have since figured out how to do it without a new handler and just a bit of Views arg handler code: http://drupal.org/node/294268#comment-2170158

But this is still a needed feature in the Notifications module and i could still be up for providing some funding for it's development if anyone interested in taking a crack at it.

Many of my users are confused and ask, "Why did I get this notification, it has nothing to do with any of the topics I'm subscribed to."

The reality is, someone posted about topic A and tagged it with topic A, B, and C. Or, to use another example, they posted a meeting of the Orlando user group to members of the Orlando, Washington DC, and Los Angeles user groups.

To help recipients understand why they're receiving notifications, I need code that will add something like:

You are receiving this message because it was tagged with the following:
- Orlando Users Group
- Backup and Archiving
- Dungeons and Dragons

To manage your subscriptions ....

This is a paying gig so contact me if you're interested.

Hi,

I'm interested in paying someone to add the the "Do not send notifications for this update" functionality in Notifications v2 to Notifications v1 - as I need it for a Drupal 5 site. Please contact me if interested.

Thanks.

@ruimacdonald,

I'm afraid you really missed the topic of this thread. Would you be so kind as to delete your post and write it somewhere else?

I'm looking for help setting up a notifications system on a site that has 2 taxonomies (location and category) - i want to send nodes to a user that match his profile selection in both taxonomies (e.g. nodes tagged "books" or "fishing" and also tagged "chicago" ).

Please contact me if you can help, thanks.

I'm not really sure if I can tackle this myself, but I may try. I have some $$ for support/development, but this may require more work than I can pay. Either way, here are my requirements.

I need a user to be able to go to a Notifications/Subscriptions page and see a page similar to the attached photo. They need to be able to select one taxonomy term (Using Hierarchy Select for the display), and then be able to select options in the cck fields.

A lot of this is already in the module. Taxonomy is now supported in Notifications 4.x, and cck fields are now in Notifications Add-Ons 4.x (although it looks like there are some serious bugs with it). However these are both separate types and are not interlinked, meaning I cannot select one taxonomy term and then select the required cck fields. (Think of the taxonomy term as a model of car, and the cck fields are engine types, transmission types, year, etc.)

Lastly, each user with selected notifications would need a "Views" page showing all their Notifications (nodes with selected criteria). I believe this may be in 4.x, but I don't think the cck part is involved.

If any developer/programmer is handy with these modules and think they could get this working in a few hours, please let me know. Otherwise I may try doing this myself, and in that case I would need some pointers of where to start and any other important things I may need to know.

Thanks!

Looking for an expert to consult for an hour and just answer some questions about the Notifications API and look at code with me. If they want, we could also have them do some paid customizations, but in the interest of finding someone quickly, it seems like it'd be easier to get someone just to chat with.

Thank you!

I am willing to pay someone to write a PHP snippet people could use to add a Subscribe/Unsubscribe to Content Type link to header/footer of Views generated pages.

Hi all,

I'm willing to pay to get Notification Message templates working in D7.

Dane Powell has made this module Notifications Mailing List Template and I've got it working somehow but I would need to get this working properly.

Cheers,
